Newly Crafted Works

-  Capstone  Project

For her senior capstone, Jaanvi wrote and produced a full length LP over the course of 6 months. The LP, titled "Balancing Act,"  marks the debut of her most personal songs, and her most vulnerable moments.

Mending bedroom pop, contemporary, industrial, and classical elements, the record addresses intrinsically human adversities such as mental health, heartbreak, grief, and violence, and the different ways the human mind heals from such adversities. The songs showcased are straight from the full length LP set to be released in June of 2021.

"There isn't really much else for me to say that hasn't already been said in the songs that are to be released here shortly. This album is not only an extension of my heart, but of my mind as well simply because these are my words. I only ever want to contribute to that inherent understanding a lot of these modern crowds share. We are entering a new age of art where people are less afraid to be unabashed about the darker aspects of themselves and their lives, and I strongly identify with that so I want to make music for them. The goal here is to create relatable, honest content that is also sonically pleasing for everyone. Parents who are trying so hard to get through to their kids, teens who are angry at the world, weirdos, freaks, deadbeats, young girls with no representation, . Underdogs and champions together because we are all human, and we feel human things. There is no need for human feelings to be underrepresented in the music industry."
